At the Beach with Granny and Grandma

We had the privilege of going to the beach with Granny and Grandma during Fall break in November. While the weather did not exactly cooperate we had a great time hanging out, playing games, eating good food and catching up with conversations. I hope next time to be able to sit on the porch and enjoy that beautiful view!

Halloween 2009

Halloween 2009. Daddy carves the pumpkin with the kids. The kids really loved the movie "Bolt" this year and all deceided to go as characters from that movie. Skylar is Penny and Riley and Jayse are Bolt himself! It was a beautiful night to trick or treat and the kids racked in on the candy!!!

Skylar we are so proud of you!!

Skylar is a natural at Volleyball.... She won the award for best all around play at the end of her first volleyball skills league and was the only player to receive her very own volleyball. Great job!!!! We see a good future in this sport!!!!

Riley's Career day

Riley wants to be an "ice cream girl" when she grows up! She was the talk of the class.... ice cream yummy!!!! Daddy made her a creative hat to go with her outfit.

Riley's 6th Birthday

Happy Birthday Riley!!! Mommy made cup cakes and brought them to school for a special snack. Riley was "Star Student" all week and had something special each day. On her birthday Abuela picked her up for lunch and took her to the mall for Chic-fil-a and a trip to the Disney store!!! On Friday, daddy came to school to have lunch with her. What a treat!!!

Labor Day

We spent Labor Day weekend at the beach with Abuelo, Abuela, Tia Jessica, Tio Denni, Mia and Dominic. Daddy and Abuelo went early on Friday to set up the new bunk beds and get everything ready. We had good weather, great food and a fun time!! The highlights were: going on the boat to dock at the beach, playing with cousins, putting a note in the island journal, taking the boat to Ocean Isle to eat dinner and go for ice cream, going to the candy store, and Abuela's feast, Yummy!!!!

First day of School 2009

First day of school!!! Wow, the summer flew by...... Riley is so excited about starting Kindergarten and has the same teacher that Skylar had, Mrs. Roberts. Skylar is starting 2nd grade with Mrs. Worley. Jayse is also thrilled to get back to pre-school to play with his friends.

Fun at the beach!! Daddy enjoyed the water slide as much as the kids! The beach was beautiful and it was a great last trip before school starts. The kids love walking to the candy store, yummy!!!

God has blessed us so much this year!! This is our new beach home appropriately named: "God is good" He is so good!! So far we have worked a lot adding a pool and painting etc. It is worth the work when you sit on the top deck and watch and hear the ocean!! WOW!!!!!
