Jayse and Riley on the train from Richmond to DC. We got up early but they had soooo much fun on the train. The train was Jayse's favorite part of the trip. He loved that he could plub in his DS and play while we were moving.

Christmas Piano Recital

The girls had a Christmas recital at the Oak nursing home. Skylar played Jingle Bells and Joy to the World. Riley played Away in a Manger and Jolly old St. Nicholas. They both did so good!

Basketball 2010-2011

Daddy is coaching Jayse and Riley in basketball this Winter. The kids are doing so great and having a fun time!

Thanksgiving!!

Thanksgiving 2010 was in Charlotte. The kids had so much fun seeing Grandma and Granny and loved all the yummy food!!

Fall School Field Trips

Skylar goes to Blue Jay point park for a fun family day. She hangs out by the lake with Ashley and Brooke.

Jayse turns 5 years old!!! We have his school friends over then later have more cake with family. Yummy!!

Beach Pics...

Our first weekend in the fall at the beach was a blast!! The kids were excited to get away and be able to just play on the beach and soak in the sun! Daddy was excited to go to Captain Pete's for dinner to order his favorite, shrimp and grits!! Yummy!!! We got to take some lovely pictures by the ocean before our nice dinner. The kids did great!! Looks like we may have our Christmas card!!

Noah's ark day

Riley had Noah's Ark Day at school where all the kids got to dress as an animal or character from this great bible story. Riley was a beautiful butterfly complete with pretty wings and antennas. She was the best butterfly I have ever seen. She was so excited to be able to march through the halls and even parade into other classes. She saw her sister, her cousin Faith and she lite up when she saw some of the girls from the volleyball team!!

Happy Birthday Riley!!!!

Riley turns 7!!!! Wow, time is flying by!!! Riley has another birthday. Mommy brings donuts into school for snack on her special day and that night after the volleyball game we had hot dogs and cake with the whole family. It was so special that Uncle Eddie came up to celebrate with her. She got lots of great gifts and had a wonderful time. On Sunday she had a kid birthday party at "Cathy's paint your own", where all the kids got to select a trinket to paint and take home. Great fun for all!!!!

School days.....

Skylar taking sewing lessons

Skylar has started taking sewing lessons from a friend of ours Mrs. Tammy. She loves it! I am so excited about her learning this very useful trade. She is saving her money to buy a sewing machine. I am so proud of her! She has been sewing pillow cases and wash cloth hangers and has given them all out to others. She is now working on making herself a dress from a pattern that Mrs. Tammy has. It is so important to us that our kids learn things that they can really use throughout their entire life. I hope she continues to learn and grow in this craft, it will be helpful to me around the house since I don't even know how to sew a button!!!

First day of School!!!! 2010

First day of school 2010!!! Wow!! I can't believe that school is already starting back up!!! The girls are so excited to meet their new teachers and see friends! Riley has Mrs. Mescher which we have heard so many good things about. And Skylar has Mrs. Rutherford who seems so nice!! Our babies are growing up so fast!!! Riley starts piano with Mrs. Kirk and Skylar will continue on with her 3rd year! Wow, time does fly!! The kids will also be playing tennis and helping me with volleyball everyday after school. Busy, busy.........

Bueno/Buckley/Murray Beach trip 2010

We had such a great time at the beach with all the cousins! The kids had an exciting week with fun at the beach, pool, water slides, boat and on the golf cart. I still think Jayse's favorite time is playing Wii! We had great weather and were able to go an the boat several days. My favorite was docking at the end of the island and enjoying the beach all to ourselves. The kids got to go tubing and found lots of interesting sea creatures. We were joined by Denni's family on Wednesday and while we had a packed house it was truly an unforgettable experience! Matt rented a golf cart which was so much fun and made going to the beach a much more enjoyable experience. As usual the food was outstanding each night and we especially liked "Taco Tuesday" and the night Abuela made crab legs and fettuchine. Yummy!! We were thankful that Prisim got to spend some time with us and we will all miss her dearly!! Thanks for the memories!
