Jayse has his first sleepover at his best buddy Luke's house. He was so excited that when I asked him to go pack he got one of his dad's big suitcases and packed 7 pair of under ware, 5 shirts, 6 pair of shorts and 3 PJ's. I asked him just how long he thought he was sleeping over? He also asked Daddy if he could bring the basketball in case they wanted to play. So cute!!!!! They had so much fun playing Wii, eating pizza and ice cream, and staying up late! My baby is growing up!!!!

Swim team fun
Swim team has finally come to an end and while we missed the end of season party b/c we were traveling to Va. the kids came home to some great surprises! Riley was awarded "MVP" of the 6 and under group. We are so proud of her, she is a competitor and has improved so much in all her strokes. Her coach Miss. Colby gave her a certificate that said "Best Diver"! Good job girl!! Jayse completed his first year of swim team and did a great job as well. He started the year very unsure of his abilities and had to have the coach help him get half way across the pool. By the end of the year he was swimming in main events and he even swam all the way across the pool by himself last week which now allows him to have access to the diving boards. Miss. Colby have him a certificate for "happiest swimmer". He always has a smile on his face and loves swim meets (mainly b/c of the snack bar). Skylar was awarded with the "Coaches Award" for the 9-10 year old swim group. We are so proud of her for this b/c that is such a special award meaning that she takes direction from her coaches well, has a great attitude and is a great swimmer. Her certificate read "Most likely to ask to do butterfly". That is funny b/c at first she hated that stroke but with persistence she improved so much that she was asking to swim it. Great job guys!!!
Chris's 40th birthday party luau
Happy 40th Chris!! Bobby and I had the privilege of throwing Chris a semi-surprise birthday party. She wanted a theme so we had a luau. The decorations turned out great in their back yard and despite some doubts the food turned out awesome!!! The kids enjoyed dressing up and Faith was such a great help to all of us. All the family was in to celebrate and we had a great time at dinner the night before and at the party after church. Hope you will remember this for a long time Chris!!!! We love you!!
4th of July fun at Fripp Island!!
Wow!! What a great time we had at Fripp Island for the 4Th of July! It felt like we were in a different country on an awesome vacation. When we arrived at the gated island about 15 miles from civilization we were greeted by dozens of deer that would eat food right out of your hand. You don't see many cars on the island b/c everyone travels in style by golf cart. Matt is sold on buying one for our beach place! The kids had a blast going to the pool, playing on the playgrounds, playing on the beach, riding the golf carts and of course watching the fireworks over the water. It was one of the best 4Th's we have had!! What a treat!
Skylar Recognized
Great job Skylar!!!! Each year at the end of the school year teachers pick and award students for: All "A" honor roll, perfect attendance, most improved, best grades and most outstanding student honors. Skylar, Trey and Faith were recognized for all "A" honor roll. Yeah!!!! Also Trey and Skylar got perfect attendance. Finally, we were so pleased that of all the kids in her class Mrs. Worley recognized Skylar as the "Most Outstanding Student". I was just moved to tears to see her get that award and so excited that I don't think I hit record on my camera.... Well the memory is etched in my head anyway and we could not be more proud of the wonderful things that Mrs. Worley had to say about our angel! She said how kind she was to other kids and how well she got along with everyone, also that she had the second highest grades in the class behind Logan, who I know is a genius. Anyway, we are so proud of you baby!!!! Keep it up!!!
End of the school year 2010
Can't believe that the school year is finally here!! Each child had a great year and we wrap it up with some fun end of the year parties. Skylar had a fiesta at the park that was filled with games, yummy Mexican food and prizes. Jayse had a great time with his class at the park. Abuela got to take him since Mommy had to be at Riley's party that was at the bowling ally. On the last day of school Riley had her special Kindergarten Celebration. They had been practicing all year long, my pictures are not great but we were so proud of her enthusiasm. She did a great job. We will miss Mrs. Roberts next year!!!
Tee Ball 2010
Tee Ball was great this year! We had a very familiar team with so many neighbors and friends on the team. Daddy was the coach and he did an awesome job! So good that many of the players are requesting him next season. Riley is a great switch hitter with an awesome stance. Jayse was not suppose to play b/c of his age but we are just so proud of how quickly he picked up on the game. It must run in the blood! He was hitting off a pitch from the first game. The end of season pool party was lots of fun as well and the kids loved getting the trophy.
